The trail to Crypt Lake is left, towards a tunnel. A steel ladder leads from the trail into the entrance. Through the tunnel, hikers continue along the trail for approximately 30 m (100 ft) with the aid of a cable attached to the mountainside. From the end of the cabled trail, Crypt Lake is an easy five to ten minute hike.

Looking back to the start of the hike (not visible), this is the view along the Crypt Lake Trail from approximately three-quarters of the way along the hike. The trail winds through the valley and then up the right-hand-side along a series of switchbacks.
