Sep 24 to Sep 26 Visitors to Waterton in September can help the town and park celebrate the area's animal world at a three-day wildlife festival. From bears and bison to elk and eagles, the annual event features a variety of activities and presentations, including wildlife viewing on horseback, shoreline boat cruises, special photography sessions, wildlife readings by authors and presentations on tracks, scat and antlers.
TBA Established in 2005, the Waterton Wildflower Festival was created to celebrate and promote the fact that over half of the province's wildflowers grow in Waterton Lakes Park. Activities during the 10-day festival include art exhibits, workshops and educational courses.
TBA As one of Canada's national parks, Waterton will celebrate Canada's Parks Day with a one-day festival of fun, educational and family-oriented events. Parks Day, which has been celebrated for over 20 years, is held every July.
